End-User License Agreement (EULA)

This End-User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legally binding contract between you ("User", "you") and Bank Extract regarding your use of the Bank Extract desktop software ("Software"). By purchasing, downloading, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
Important Notice โ Legal Agreement
By purchasing, downloading, or using the Software, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this EULA, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy. These three documents together constitute the complete legal agreement between you and Bank Extract.
1. License Grant
Bank Extract grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable personal license to download, install, and use the Software solely for your personal or internal business purposes, subject to the terms of this Agreement.
Device Seat Limit
Each standard license includes 2 device activations โ one for your primary computer and one for a secondary device (e.g., a laptop). If you require additional seats, you may purchase them through our website. Your license authorizes use on a number of devices equal to the number of seats agreed upon at the time of purchase.
2. Local-First Architecture
The Software processes all data exclusively on your local device.
Your PDF files, bank statements, account numbers, transaction details, and any generated Excel output never leave your computer and never touch our servers. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for the security and integrity of your device and any files on it. We are technically unable to recover lost or deleted files, as we do not receive, store, or back up your data at any point.
3. Permitted Use
You may install and use the Software on devices you own or control for personal financial management, professional accounting and bookkeeping tasks, internal business workflows, and any other lawful purpose consistent with this Agreement. Use by accountants, bookkeepers, financial advisors, and business owners for client-facing workflows is permitted, provided each individual end-user has their own valid license.
4. Prohibited Use
You are expressly prohibited from doing any of the following:
Reverse engineering or decompiling: You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, analyze, or attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or internal logic of the Software.
Redistribution or resale: You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or transfer the Software or your license to any third party.
License key sharing: You may not publish, post, share, or disclose your license key publicly or make it available to any person who has not purchased the Software.
Unauthorized copies: You may not make copies of the Software beyond the number of devices covered by your purchased seat count.
Circumventing license validation: You may not modify, bypass, disable, or interfere with any license validation, activation, or anti-piracy mechanisms in the Software.
If a license key is discovered on any public forum, repository, or website, Bank Extract reserves the right to immediately and permanently revoke that license without prior notice and without issuing a refund.
5. License Validation
The Software is a desktop application. Your files never leave your computer. The following describes how the license system handles internet connectivity โ simply and transparently.
Activation
You activate once
Enter your email and license key. A one-time network request verifies your purchase against our licensing server. After activation, no persistent connection is maintained.
Days 1 โ 89
100% offline
No internet required. No tracking. Work freely for up to 89 days โ your PDFs and data stay entirely on your machine.
Day 60+
Silent background check
Starting at day 60 of activation, the app quietly verifies your license in the background. You will see a small โ confirmation modal โ then it disappears. Nothing is required from you.
What happens on Day 90?
If the silent check could not complete (no internet between day 60โ89), a reactivation modal appears on day 90. Simply re-enter your email and license key to continue. This takes approximately 10 seconds and your work is not affected.

6. Ownership & Intellectual Property
The Software is licensed to you, not sold. Bank Extract retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including but not limited to all copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and other intellectual property rights. This includes the proprietary TextBounds coordinate-based extraction algorithm. This Agreement does not transfer any ownership rights to you. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by Bank Extract.
7. Lifetime License Scope & Updates
Your lifetime license means you pay once and use the Software indefinitely with no recurring subscription charge. The following clarifies what is and is not included.
Included in your lifetime license
- ยทPermanent access to the version purchased.
- ยทAll minor updates, patches, and bug fixes for the purchased version.
- ยทContinued access to your version even if newer paid versions are released.
Optional future features
- ยทPremium features introduced in future major versions are optional and separately priced.
- ยทYou are never required to upgrade. Your purchased version always remains fully functional.
All officially released versions of Bank Extract remain permanently available for download at bank-extract.com/downloads. You may always return to any prior version you are licensed to use.
8. Data Accuracy Disclaimer
YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING AND VERIFYING THE ACCURACY OF ALL DATA EXTRACTED BY THE SOFTWARE BEFORE USING IT FOR ANY TAX FILING, FINANCIAL REPORTING, ACCOUNTING, OR BUSINESS DECISION.
While Bank Extract's algorithms are designed for precision, results may vary depending on the structural quality and layout of the source PDF. Bank Extract is not responsible for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in extracted data, nor for any consequences arising from reliance on unverified output.
9. No Warranty & Limitation of Liability
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BANK EXTRACT EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BANK EXTRACT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE. IN NO EVENT SHALL BANK EXTRACT'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU FOR THE SOFTWARE.
10. Termination & Refunds
Breach of Agreement
If you violate any provision of this Agreement, your license will be immediately and permanently revoked without prior notice. All associated data will be purged from our database and you will be banned from future purchases. You must immediately cease using and uninstall the Software.
Refunds
Since we offer a free trial before purchase, refunds are only granted if the Software is technically defective and we are unable to resolve the issue. If a refund is processed โ whether initiated by us or by our payment provider, Paddle โ the license is immediately revoked and all associated data is permanently deleted from our database. You must stop using and uninstall the Software.
11. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Argentina, including applicable consumer protection and data privacy regulations (Ley 25.326 de Protecciรณn de Datos Personales). Any disputes arising under this Agreement will first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Argentina.
12. Entire Agreement & Severability
This EULA, together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Bank Extract and supersedes all prior understandings regarding the Software. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. This Agreement is originally drafted in English. In the event of any conflict between this English version and a translation, the English version shall prevail.
