This summary is for convenience only and does not replace the full Terms below.
1. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions apply:
- "Software" means the Bank Extract Desktop Pro application, including all updates, patches, and components, but excluding the web-based demo. The Software includes the proprietary TextBounds local extraction intelligence engine.
- "Web Demo" means the free, browser-based version of Bank Extract available at bank-extract.com/app, subject to feature and page-count limitations. All PDF processing within the Web Demo occurs locally in your browser using the same local-first engine (TextBounds); no files are uploaded to any server.
- "Service" means collectively the Software, the Web Demo, the website bank-extract.com, and all related services.
- "Provider", "we", "us", or "our" means the independent developer (individual, persona física) operating Bank Extract under the laws of Argentina as a registered monotributista.
- "User", "you", or "your" means any individual who downloads, installs, accesses, or uses the Software or Service.
- "License Key" means the unique alphanumeric code issued to you upon purchase that activates the Software, paired with your email address.
- "Device ID" means a unique, anonymous identifier generated from your device's hardware. It cannot be used to identify you personally or reveal your device's specifications. It is used solely to bind your license to your authorized device(s).
- "License Data" means the minimal data retained for license verification: your email address and Device ID and temporarily retained IP address (see 5.2)
- "User Data" means any PDF files, bank statements, financial records, or other documents you process through the Software.
- "Output" means the Excel (XLSX), CSV, or other data files generated by the Software from your User Data.
- "Seat" means one authorized device on which the Software may be installed and activated under your License Key.
- "Merchant of Record" means Paddle.com Market Ltd, the entity that processes payments, calculates taxes, and issues invoices on behalf of the Provider.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, activating, accessing, or using the Software or Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and our End User License Agreement (EULA). If you do not agree, you must immediately cease all use and delete all copies of the Software.
If you are using the Software on behalf of a company or entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity. The Provider is an individual developer (persona física) operating as a monotributista under Argentine law. For legal correspondence: support@bank-extract.com.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater) to purchase or use the Software. By using the Software, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
The Software is not available to any User who has his license revoked. We reserve the right to deny access at our sole discretion. And we can revoke licenses for violations of these Terms, suspected fraud, or intent to abuse/exploit of the Software.
4. Local-First Architecture; Data Privacy
Bank Extract operates under a strict local-first model. All PDF processing, data extraction, and file conversion occur exclusively on your local device (including RAM and temporary local storage). Your User Data is never uploaded, transmitted, or accessible to us or any third party.
What we DO NOT collect or access:
- Your PDF files or their contents
- Extracted financial data or Output files
- Browsing history or application usage patterns
- Keystrokes, screenshots, or screen recordings
- Any form of telemetry, analytics, or behavioral data from the Software itself
- Bank account numbers, transaction details, or client names from your documents
What we DO retain (License Data only):
- Your name and email address- provided by Paddle (our Merchant of Record) at the time of purchase, used to deliver your License Key, transaction verification, and support communication.
- Your Device ID — a unique, anonymous identifier generated from your device's hardware. It cannot be used to identify you personally or reveal your device's specifications. It is used solely to bind your license to your authorized device(s).
- IP address - retained for up to 30 days and automatically purged thereafter, solely for abuse detection and license integrity when the software attempts to renew your license.
Purchase history is processed and stored by Paddle as Merchant of Record. We do not independently retain your full purchase history.
Data deletion:
You may request deletion of your License Data at any time by emailing privacy@bank-extract.com (for privacy-related requests) or support@bank-extract.com (for general account deletion). Both addresses route to the same team and are processed within 30 days of your verified request. Note that requesting data deletion will deactivate your license and require re-purchase for future use.
Your Privacy Rights
Whether you are in Europe (GDPR), California (CCPA), or anywhere else, you own your data. For details on your rights of access, deletion, and objection, see our Privacy Policy 07. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@bank-extract.com or support@bank-extract.com. Both addresses route to the same team and are processed within 30 days. privacy@bank-extract.com
Website cookies:
Our website (bank-extract.com) uses standard cookies for understanding visitor location and page engagement. No cookies are placed by the Software itself. The desktop application does not transmit analytics, telemetry, or usage data, and does not contain any tracking mechanisms. The Web Demo also does not use cookies or transmit the user data. See our Privacy Policy for details. You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time by declining cookies or using any browser-level tracking protection in handle.
Because we never receive, store, or back up your User Data at any point, we are technically unable to recover lost or deleted files from your device.
5. License Verification & Activation
The Software uses a silent license verification system to confirm the validity of your License Key. You consent to this verification process by using the Software.
5.1 How It Works
- Activation: You enter your License Key and email. The software verifies your purchase and stores a local license token on your device.
- Day 60 — Automatic renewal: On day 60, the software silently checks for an internet connection. If available, your license is renewed automatically and the 60-day cycle resets. No action required.
- If no internet: The software keeps working normally. Starting at day 80, you'll see a reminder to connect.
- Day 90 — Suspended State : If the software hasn't been able to renew for 90 days, the license enters a suspended state. Your files are never affected. Simply reconnect and re-enter your email and License Key to reactivate. Your lifetime license itself does not expire; only the active verification enters a temporary suspension that is immediately reversible.
5.2 What Is Transmitted During Verification
During license verification, the following data is transmitted to our license verification database server:
- Your email address
- Your License Key
- Your Device ID
- IP address retained for up to 30 days and automatically purged thereafter, solely for abuse detection and license integrity.
No PDF content, bank data, or application usage data is ever transmitted. The verification is strictly limited to license validation only.
5.3 Offline Use
The Software is designed to work offline. You do not need an internet connection for day-to-day use. Internet connectivity is only required for: (a) initial license activation, (b) periodic silent renewal every 60 days, and (c) downloading software updates manually. Note that the Web Demo requires internet solely to load the page in your browser; all PDF processing still occurs locally.
6. License Grant & Restrictions
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and successful license verification, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the Software on the number of devices (Seats) covered by your license, solely for your internal business or personal purposes.
6.1 License Tiers
- Web Demo: Free. Limited to 30 pages per PDF. No batch processing, no custom templates. No License Key required.
- Desktop Pro: Lifetime License Key. Includes 2 Seats. Unlimited pages and PDFs. Batch processing. Custom saveable templates. Balance & categorization features.
- Team Pack: Lifetime License Key. Up to 25 Seats with a centralized License Key. All Pro features included and priority email support.
6.2 License Scope
Your lifetime license means you pay once and use the Software indefinitely with no recurring subscription charge. The following clarifies what is and is not included. Included in your lifetime license:
- Perpetual access to the purchased version, inclusive of all subsequent minor updates, patches, and bug fixes released for that specific version.
- Continued access to your version even if newer paid versions are released.
- Priority email support for Team Pack purchase and standard support for Desktop Pro, as long as the Software remains functional and available for download and purchase.
- Major new versions with significant game-changing feature additions in the future may require a separate purchase, but your lifetime License Key will remain valid for the version you purchased.
- Access to the Web Demo is free and not part of the lifetime license, but you can use it indefinitely with its limitations.
- Support is provided via email and is not guaranteed indefinitely or forever, it will remain in function as long as the Software is available for download and purchase.
All officially released versions of Bank Extract remain available for download at bank-extract.com/downloads for as long as the Service is maintained. While we do not intend to remove previously released versions, we reserve the right to discontinue the Software or any specific version at any time, with reasonable advance notice where possible. You may always return to any prior version you are licensed to use during the period the Service remains active.
6.3 Prohibited Uses
You agree NOT to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or internal logic and intellectual property of the Software.
- Share, publish, redistribute, sublicense, lease, rent, sell, or transfer your License Key, the Software, or any copy thereof to any third party.
- Use the Software on more devices simultaneously than the number of Seats covered by your License Key.
- Use the Software for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose.
- Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Software.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on or in the Software.
- Use the Software and its intellectual property to develop a competing product or service.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with the license verification system or any security features.
-

Software beyond normal human use.

- Use the Software in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service.
- Attempt to extract, scrape, or harvest any data from the Software's internal structures.
7. Payments, Pricing & Refunds
7.1 Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd (the "Merchant of Record"). Paddle is an authorised reseller. You purchase the Product from Paddle, and the Product is made available to you by the Provider under these Terms. Paddle is responsible for processing your payment, calculating and remitting applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax, withholding tax), and issuing your invoice. By making a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms of Service.
7.2 Pricing
All prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout. The Provider reserves the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes do not affect purchases already completed.
7.3 Free Trial
We offer a free Web Demo so you can evaluate the Software before purchasing. By offering this demo, you acknowledge that you have had an adequate opportunity to assess the Software's suitability for your needs prior to purchase.
7.4 Refund Policy
ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
Since a free Web Demo is available for evaluation, we do not offer refunds for change of mind, buyer's remorse, or failure to use the Software.
Refunds are issued solely at our discretion and only in cases of verified technical failures that prevent the Software from functioning as described, despite reasonable troubleshooting efforts. Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase to support@bank-extract.com with:
- Your License Key and email
- A detailed description of the technical issue
- Screenshots or screen recordings if applicable
A "verified technical failure" means a reproducible defect that prevents the Software from performing its core function (extracting data from PDF bank statements as intended) on a supported operating system, as confirmed by our support team after reasonable troubleshooting.
If a refund is processed, whether initiated by us or by our Merchant of Record, the License Key is immediately revoked and all associated License Key Data is permanently deleted from our database within 30 days. You must stop using and uninstall the Software and cease all use.
7.5 Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
We encourage you to contact us directly before disputing a charge or raising a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. This often results in faster resolution.
Initiating a chargeback, payment reversal, or dispute without first contacting us is a material breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to:
- Immediately suspend or revoke your License Key.
- Deny you future access to the Service.
- Recover any fees, penalties, or costs incurred as a result of the dispute.
- Pursue legal action if the dispute is found to be made in bad faith or constitutes fraud.
- Delete all associated License Key Data from our database within 30 days of the chargeback.
8. License Key Security & Your Responsibilities
Your License Key and associated email are your credentials. You are solely responsible for:
- Keeping your License Key and email confidential and secure.
- All activity that occurs under your License Key, whether or not authorized by you.
- Ensuring the Software is used only on your authorized Seats.
- Immediately notifying us at support@bank-extract.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your License Key.
We reserve the right to deactivate any License Key that we reasonably believe has been compromised, shared in violation of these Terms, or obtained through fraud. We will make reasonable efforts to provide a replacement key if deactivation occurs through no fault of yours.
8.1 License Revocation & Suspension
We may revoke or suspend your License Key if:
- You breach any provision of these Terms.
- Your License Key is found to be used on more devices than permitted.
- We receive a valid legal order requiring revocation.
- We reasonably believe the License Key was obtained through fraud.
- You file a chargeback or payment dispute in bad faith.
- A refund is processed for a verified technical failure.
Upon suspension, the Software becomes inactive but your License Key Data is retained. You may reactivate by reconnecting to the internet and re-entering your credentials. See 5.1 for the grace period cycle.
Upon revocation, the Software will become inactive and all associated License Key Data will be permanently deleted from our database within 30 days. You must delete all copies from your devices.
9. User Responsibility & Data Verification
⚠️ CRITICAL CLAUSE — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Bank Extract is a productivity tool. It is not an accounting service, auditor, financial advisor, tax preparer, or legal counsel. It is an instrument — like a calculator or spreadsheet — designed to assist you. It does not replace your professional judgment.
The Software extracts data from PDF files using coordinate-based text extraction (TextBounds) — it reads the raw digital text layer of the PDF. It does not use OCR (Optical Character Recognition), AI-based guessing, or any form of intelligent interpretation. Extraction accuracy depends entirely on the structure and quality of the source PDF, which varies significantly between financial institutions.
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:
- It is your sole and absolute responsibility to audit, review, and verify every line of extracted data against the original PDF document.
- You will not rely on the Output for tax filings, financial reports, legal proceedings, or business decisions without independent verification.
- The Provider makes no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose.
- You assume all risk arising from your use of or reliance on the Output.
Because we never receive, store, or back up your User Data at any point, we are technically unable to recover lost or deleted files from your device.
No Professional Relationship: Your use of the Software does not create any professional-client, fiduciary, or advisory relationship between you and the Provider. We do not provide financial, accounting, tax, legal, or professional advice of any kind.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE ARGENTINE CIVIL AND COMMERCIAL CODE AND LEY 25.326 DE PROTECCIÓN DE DATOS PERSONALES:
- IN NO EVENT SHALL THE PROVIDER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
- THE PROVIDER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY ERRORS, INACCURACIES, OR OMISSIONS IN THE OUTPUT.
- THE PROVIDER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY FINANCIAL LOSS, TAX PENALTY, LEGAL LIABILITY, OR BUSINESS DAMAGE RESULTING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON THE OUTPUT.
- THE PROVIDER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR DEVICE, DATA, OR SOFTWARE RESULTING FROM USE OF THE SOFTWARE.
- THE PROVIDER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INTERRUPTION, SUSPENSION, OR TERMINATION OF THE SERVICE.
- THE PROVIDER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR LICENSE KEY RESULTING FROM YOUR FAILURE TO SECURE IT.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.00.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
Jurisdictional Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Intellectual Property
The Software, including but not limited to its source code, algorithms, architecture, designs, logos, trademarks, trade names, documentation, user interface, and all related intellectual property rights, is and remains the exclusive property of the Provider. The Software is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership interest in the Software. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
User Feedback: If you provide suggestions, ideas, feature requests, bug reports, or other feedback, you grant the Provider a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and exploit such feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Provider from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your use of or inability to use the Software.
- Your violation of any provision of these Terms.
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Any User Data you process through the Software.
- Any reliance on the Output generated by the Software.
- Any claim by a third party related to your use of the Software.
- Your negligence or willful misconduct.
We reserve the right, at your expense, to assume exclusive defense of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate fully.
13. Termination
Termination by You: You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the Software and ceasing all use. Termination does not entitle you to a refund.
Termination by Us: We may suspend (manually) or terminate (revoke) your License Key immediately, without prior notice, for any reason listed in Section 8.1.
Effect of manual suspension: During a manual suspension, your License Key is temporarily deactivated but not deleted if we detect suspicious activity that violates these Terms in any way. You may reactivate by reconnecting to the internet and re-entering your credentials. The Software remains installed on your device but becomes inactive until reactivation.
Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your License Key is immediately revoked. You must delete all copies of the Software. The following sections survive termination: 9 (User Responsibility), 10 (Limitation of Liability), 11 (Intellectual Property), 12 (Indemnification), 14 (Dispute Resolution), 15 (Governing Law), and 17 (General Provisions).
14. Dispute Resolution & Class Action Waiver
14.1 Informal Resolution
Before initiating any formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at support@bank-extract.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days in good faith.
14.2 Binding Arbitration
If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration administered by the Centro de Arbitraje de la Bolsa de Comercio de Buenos Aires under its applicable rules, by a single arbitrator, in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the Spanish language (with English translation available upon request). The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.
14.3 Class Action Waiver
NO CLASS ACTIONS — MANDATORY INDIVIDUAL PROCEEDINGS
YOU AGREE THAT ALL CLAIMS AGAINST THE PROVIDER MUST BE BROUGHT ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL ACTION, OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. THE ARBITRATOR MAY NOT CONSOLIDATE CLAIMS OR PRESIDE OVER ANY FORM OF REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
14.4 Exceptions
Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court. Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Argentina, without regard to conflict of law principles, including applicable consumer protection and data privacy regulations (Ley 25.326 de Protección de Datos Personales)
16. Software Updates
Software updates are released periodically and must be downloaded and installed manually by the User. The Software does not install updates automatically.
Updates may include bug fixes, security patches, feature enhancements, or compatibility improvements. We are under no obligation to provide updates but may do so at our sole discretion.
We do not guarantee that all updates will be compatible with all devices or configurations. It is your responsibility to review update notes before installing or declining updates for better performance within your environment or system.
The Web Demo page may update automatically when you refresh your browser; however, all PDF processing remains local.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. THE PROVIDER EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that: (a) the Software will meet your requirements; (b) the Software will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components; (c) results will be accurate, complete, or reliable; (d) errors will be corrected; or (e) the Software will be compatible with all PDF formats. Your use is entirely at your own risk.
18. Third-Party Components & Services
The Software incorporates open-source components subject to their own licenses, including but not limited to Jspreadsheet CE, PDF.js, and SheetJS (MIT, Apache 2.0, or similar licenses).
We clarify the Third-party services used: Paddle (payment processing and Merchant of Record), Resend (transactional email delivery — receives your email address and License Key solely for purchase confirmation; acts as a data processor under our instructions and does not use your data for any other purpose), and Google Analytics (website cookies only, not in the Software). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
19. Force Majeure
The Provider shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, war, terrorism, cyberattacks, government action, sanctions, epidemics, pandemics, labor disputes, internet outages, power failures, or third-party service failures (including Paddle's payment infrastructure).
20. Export Compliance
You agree to comply with all applicable export control laws. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to comprehensive sanctions and are not on any government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
21. Copyright Infringement Claims
If you believe content within the Software infringes your copyright, submit a notice to support@bank-extract.com with: (a) your signature, (b) identification of the copyrighted work, (c) identification of the infringing material, (d) your contact information, (e) a good faith statement, and (f) a statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury.
22. Communications and notifications
By providing your email at purchase, you consent to receive transactional communications (purchase confirmation, License Key, security alerts, service announcements). We may send occasional product updates or offers; you can opt out anytime via the unsubscribe link or by contacting support@bank-extract.com to manage your preferences. We do not sell or share your email with third parties for marketing purposes.
23. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last Updated" date and by email notification. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, stop using the Software and cease all use.
24. Service Availability & Support
The Desktop Pro operates fully offline. The Web Demo and license server require internet. We do not guarantee uptime for online services such as the free web demo and live support. We reserve the right to discontinue the Software or any specific version at any time, with reasonable advance notice where possible. Support is provided via email; response times vary. Priority support for Team Pack customers.
25. General Provisions
25.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and EULA, constitute the entire agreement and supersede all prior agreements, whether oral or written.
25.2 Severability
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary, or severed. Remaining provisions stay in full force.
25.3 Waiver
No waiver of any term shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver. Failure to enforce a right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
25.4 Assignment
You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
25.5 Relationship
These Terms do not create a partnership, joint venture, agency, franchise, or employment relationship, only end-user agreements.
25.6 Notices
Legal notices to the Provider: support@bank-extract.com. Notices to you: via email as specified in your account License Key information.
25.7 Headings
Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
25.8 Survival
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination do survive, including ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, liability limits, dispute resolution, and governing law.
25.9 Governing Language
These Terms were drafted in English. Translated versions are provided for convenience. In case of conflict, the English version prevails.
